Free Return Policy

Thank you for your order. Please carefully review the following Terms of Sale before completing your purchase.

By submitting a purchase order, invoice payment, online checkout, deposit, or any other form of payment to UPD Plastics, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

Customer Fitment Responsibility

The purchaser is solely responsible for verifying that the selected windshield, console shield, or related product matches their boat application prior to production and shipment.

The purchaser agrees that they have:

  • Compared the schematic, dimensions, shape, mounting style, hole locations, and overall design of the selected product to their existing windshield and/or console;
  • Independently determined that the selected product is the correct match for their application;
  • Reviewed all product specifications before ordering.

UPD Plastics does not physically verify fitment compatibility unless the purchaser sends in the original windshield for comparison.

UPD Plastics does not guarantee compatibility based solely on:

  • Boat year
  • Boat make
  • Boat model
  • Customer verbal descriptions
  • Customer photographs alone

Final fitment responsibility rests entirely with the purchaser unless UPD Plastics physically verifies the original windshield.

If the purchaser chooses not to send in their original windshield for verification, the purchaser acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for the selected product.

The purchaser further agrees that if they fail to verify compatibility prior to fabrication and the windshield does not fit their application, they waive any claim that the incorrect windshield was supplied.

Schematic Verification Requirement

By completing this purchase, the purchaser certifies that they have compared the selected schematic and product information to their original windshield or console before production begins.

The purchaser acknowledges that the schematic selected during checkout represents the product being fabricated.

If the purchaser is uncertain regarding fitment, they agree to contact UPD Plastics prior to fabrication.

Installation Responsibility

UPD Plastics is not responsible for installation issues, installation damage, drilling damage, cracking, improper fastening, stress fractures, over-tightening, or improper handling during installation.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

The purchaser acknowledges that installation of acrylic and polycarbonate products requires proper tools, techniques, and experience.

Any liability associated with installation rests solely with the installer and/or purchaser.

Fabrication Accuracy

If a purchaser believes a windshield was fabricated incorrectly by UPD Plastics, the purchaser must first obtain Return Authorization prior to returning any product.

UPD Plastics reserves the sole right, as manufacturer, to determine whether the product was fabricated incorrectly.

If UPD Plastics determines that the windshield was fabricated incorrectly due to a manufacturing error, UPD Plastics may, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product;
  • Adjust the product;
  • Replace the product;
  • Refabricate the product.

If UPD Plastics determines the windshield was fabricated correctly according to the schematic selected by the purchaser, the purchaser will be responsible for all shipping costs associated with the return and reshipment.

All returned products must:

  • Be unused and uninstalled;
  • Be free of scratches, drilled holes, or modifications;
  • Retain protective film;
  • Be returned in original packaging when possible.

Return Policy

UPD Plastics offers free returns on eligible standard windshield orders within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a free return:

  • The item must be unused and uninstalled;
  • Protective film must remain in place;
  • The windshield must be returned in its original packaging;
  • The item must not be custom-made, modified, drilled, or special-order.

If the return is approved, UPD Plastics will provide a return shipping label or arrange freight pickup at no cost to the customer.

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Installed or drilled windshields;
  • Products damaged during installation;
  • Customer ordering or fitment verification errors;
  • Products fabricated according to the purchaser’s selected schematic;
  • Custom fabricated or made-to-order products;
  • Customer-selected color or thickness changes;
  • Modified products.

UPD Plastics reserves the right to inspect all returned products prior to issuing any refund or replacement.

Please inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery and report any freight damage promptly.

Order Approval & Production Authorization

By providing a form of payment, the purchaser authorizes UPD Plastics to begin fabrication and charge the provided payment method.

The purchaser acknowledges that:

  • The invoice and schematic constitute part of this agreement;
  • Failure to respond to a provided invoice or schematic approval request may be interpreted as approval to proceed with fabrication;
  • Once fabrication has begun, cancellation may no longer be permitted.

UPD Plastics reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion.

International Orders

For all orders shipped outside the continental United States, the purchaser is responsible for:

  • Duties;
  • Customs fees;
  • Import taxes;
  • Brokerage fees;
  • International handling charges.

Limitation of Liability

UPD Plastics shall not be liable for:

  • Installation costs;
  • Labor costs;
  • Loss of boat use;
  • Travel expenses;
  • Marina fees;
  • Consequential damages;
  • Indirect damages;
  • Improper installation damage;
  • Customer measurement or verification errors.

UPD Plastics’ maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Purchaser Acknowledgement

By completing this purchase, the purchaser acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They have independently compared the provided schematic and product specifications to their original windshield or console;
  • They have verified compatibility prior to ordering;
  • UPD Plastics does not guarantee fitment based solely on year, make, or model information;
  • Final fitment responsibility rests entirely with the purchaser based on the schematic selected in this order;
  • They understand and agree to all Terms of Sale stated herein.

Required Checkout Confirmation

The purchaser agrees to the following prior to completing checkout:

  • I confirm that I have compared the schematic, dimensions, mounting style, and overall shape of this product to my existing windshield or console and have determined it to be the correct match prior to ordering.
  • I understand that UPD Plastics does not physically verify fitment unless my original windshield is sent in for comparison.
  • I understand that installed, drilled, modified, custom, or incorrectly selected products may not qualify for return.
  • I understand and agree to the UPD Plastics Terms of Sale and Return Policy
UPD Plastics reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Sale at any time without prior notice.
